Private Screening Charter

Your milestone is personal, and often unfinished business until the night it premieres. This charter sets out exactly how we protect your photos, footage and finished film from the moment you send them to the moment your guests see them.

Our Commitment

Every project that comes through MyStarDebut — a landmark birthday reveal, a wedding speech surprise, a retirement tribute — is built to be seen exactly once, by exactly the people you choose, at exactly the moment you choose. We treat every reference photo, voice note and script detail you send us as strictly confidential from intake to premiere.

This Charter applies to every booking regardless of package tier, and sits alongside (never replaces) the confidentiality terms in your booking agreement.

Who Sees Your Footage

Your source material and in-progress cuts are accessible only to the small production team assigned to your project — typically a producer, an editor and a colourist/audio engineer — plus the automated rendering pipeline that performs the facial and audio mastering itself.

Every team member and contractor with system access has signed a binding non-disclosure agreement before they are granted it. Your material is never shared outside that assigned team, never sold, and never used to train third-party AI models.

Storage & Encryption

Uploads and working files are held on access-controlled cloud storage, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Only the assigned production team's authenticated accounts can open a project folder — there is no public link, indexable page, or shared drive that exposes client material.

Private Delivery Protocol

Review cuts are shared through expiring, password-protected preview links, watermarked with your project reference so they can't be casually redistributed while still in draft. Your final master is delivered via a private, time-limited download link and, where requested, a physically couriered drive inside your Packaging Mockup presentation box.

We never post a client's finished film publicly, embed it on our site, or share it in any channel without your written go-ahead.

In-Atelier Screenings

If you book a private screening at one of our Edinburgh & London Private Ateliers, the session is restricted to the party you name in advance. Screening rooms are cleared of prior material before your session, and no recording of the room itself takes place without your consent.

Retention & Deletion

We retain your source material and project files for 12 months after final delivery, solely so we can produce a reprint, format change, or minor re-edit if you ever need one — without asking you to re-upload everything. After 12 months, source material and intermediate working files are permanently deleted from our active systems.

You may request early deletion at any time — see Your Requests below.

Portfolio & Marketing Use

Some of the reference imagery on this site is illustrative, licensed stock used to demonstrate style — not client work. We only ever consider using a real client's project in our portfolio or marketing with your explicit, separate written consent, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Your Requests

You can request a copy of what we hold, an early deletion of your source material, or a correction to any detail in your project at any time — no reason required. Submit it below, or use the contact form linked in the footer of this site — either way, we'll confirm the action within 2 business days.
